Entrance Gate to Catherine's Palace
I am back. We got into St. Petersburg at 9:30 PM after 36 hours of air travel and waiting in airport (little sleep) and up early at 6:00 AM to go to Catherine's Palace 15 miles south of St. Petersburg in Tsarskoye Selo or Pushkin. This is the entrance gate to the Palace and is decorated with the Russian Czar crest of the double-headed eagle, adopted by Ivan the Great in the 15th-century. Notice the mood. It rained every day we were in St. Petersburg but it did not stop us from enjoying and photographing. All captures taken in Russia will be with the Canon Powershot SX50HS.
