Reflections using speedy HDR like effect(EDR)
This was an experiment using the Speedy HDR (high dynamic effect) like technique described by Matt Kloskowski in Photoshop user. To get HDR usually you shoot 2 exposure of same capture one over exposed and one underexposed and combine this to get a HDR effect or EDR (Expanded Dynamic Range). To get the same effect but more rapidly and with one capture I used Aperture for this but you can do it in CS3 as well. I increased the shadow slider to 100% to get all detail in the shadows and the highlight slider to 100% to get all detail in the highlights then adjusted the contrast to get best effect then adjusted sharpened edges sliders slightly. I did same in CS3 by using images>adjustmements>Shadows/Highlights and adjusting those and the midtone contrast (but did not like the results as well). Will post original to show difference.
