PECOS AND RIO GRANDE CONFLUENCE
THE LOWER RIO GRANDE RIVER AT THE CONFLUENCE OF THE PECOS IS CONSIDERED TO BE ONE OF THE MOST UNHOSPITABLE PLACES AND WAS CONSIDERED UNINHABITABLE BUT IN FACT WAS INHABITED BY "THE PEOPLE" HUNTERS AND GATHERS FOR MORE THAN 10,000 YEARS LIVING IN SHELTERS (INDENTATIONS AND OVERHANGS) OF THE LIMESTONE CANYON WALLS. THIS IS WHERE MOST OF OUR OLDEST PICTOGRAPHS ARE LOCATED. THIS WAS SHOT AT NOON ON 09/25/2005 WHEN TEMP. WAS 107 DEGREES. CANON EOS 20D WITH 17-85MM LENS AT 17MM, ISO 100, F/9 AND 1/160 SEC. USED GRADED ND FILTER AND SLIGHT CROP.
